As children, we all believed in the magical and wonderful.
From leaving a carrot for Rudolph and Santa on Christmas Eve to putting our teeth under pillows in the hope that the tooth fairy would come, our childlike selves believed in anything and everything. There was no limit to our imagination, and we were encouraged from an early age to play and question the world.
We made toys out of the tools around us.
Twigs would act as swords when we battled on pirate ships, oversized coats would become invisibility cloaks and the dark, creepy shapes of our toys at night were the villains of our nightmares. Our ability to build our own world so effectively helped us to understand the world around us better, and the people in it. Yet as we grow older, we’re told to move on from our fascination with play and imagination.
We’re introduced to the adult world.
By shifting our childlike perspective into an adult one, we put these tools of learning away in a box never to be opened again. When wonder is lost, the world around us is boring and dull. The monotony of work gnaws away at us and our hunger for more unsatisfied. The dreams that came so easily to us as children seem far away and unreachable.
When you step into the first realm of Celtic Reiki, The Realm of Meadows, your adult approach to the world will hold you back. You’ll be encouraged to work with your childhood memories, such as any moments of repressed trauma.
It’s natural to speak to that place of trauma through your adult context, thinking about right and wrong and how you should behave.
However, this won’t support your progress because you’ll be talking down to yourself and processing your memories through your adult expectations rather than your childlike gaze. Part of the process when journeying through The Realm of Meadows is to reconnect with your childhood wonder.
The interactive home experience encourages you to play with everything and see it through childlike eyes. When you do this, you’ll find it much easier to sort through those traumas.
You’ll be bringing yourself back to that state of wonderment that will then allow you to do the more powerful work.
By opening that box again, filled with everything you need to play and imagine, you’ll start to see the home experience in a new light and will be able to do more powerful work for yourself.
